Cohosted leonardo@cohosted.app

Your newsletter issue, as a conversation.

Cohosted turns each issue into a short episode for two voices: a host talks it through with a guest. It's ready before you publish, and you read every line before anyone hears it.

How an episode reads, from an essay we wrote to show the format.
Emma

Welcome. Before we start: the voices you hear are synthetic, and the words are Ana Ruiz's, from this week's issue.

James

Ana opens with a drawer of notebooks she started and never finished. Eleven of them, by her count.

Emma

Eleven! So notebooks don't work?

James

I'd say the opposite. Writing the page is where the thinking happens. Rereading it later is a bonus, not the reason.

How it works

  1. Forward the issue to your Cohosted address before it goes out.
  2. Minutes later you get a review page where the text follows the audio.
  3. Approve it, or tap a wrong line and send a fix to get a new version.
  4. Download the MP3 and add it to your post as audio.

What you can count on

  • The ideas stay yours. The episode follows your text, and every line is checked against it before you see it.
  • The voices are declared. They are synthetic and generic, no voice is cloned, and the episode says so in its first line.
  • Nothing goes out without you. Cohosted never publishes anything. You decide if and where the episode appears.

Try it for a month, free

I'm looking for 8 to 10 newsletter writers for a free month: one episode for every issue you publish. There's no account and no card. Send me an issue you'd like to hear, and I'll send back the episode.
